My question is: What is your favorite old song or maybe broadway song either/or?

I'm a fan of the songs from the movie South Pacific.

Myself at age ten.

A friend told me about Alicia's "Friday Photo Flashback" and I thought I'd join in this week.  So dig out the photo albums and put your scanner to good use! Don't forget to link up so we can all visit and comment on each others blogs!
My Dad

I just got in and would you believe when I went to look for a pic of Dad I hit it on the first try. This was on My 10th birthday, I took the bus from the suburbs to downtown Buffalo to meet my Dad to go to the movies to see "The Babe Ruth Story". That was accompanied by a new Baseball bat, a glove and a ball, as well as a 2 day fishing trip. July 11 1949.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you follow.  Please don't forget to take a gander at my give-away.  Love songs, lessons for the dog on retrieving, and some cooking recipes.  Tons of fun! Have a wonderful weekend !

  1. Look at how cute you look at age 10! And what a memory-That must have been quite a special day between the two of you :)

I think my favorite old song is Journey's Open Arms-It's my boyfriend and my song xD

    Happy Friday!

  2. A Change Is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke.

  3. Love the flashback pictures! :)

I can't think of a favorite song off the top of my head...I'll have to mull that one over and get back to you! ;)

Pack Rat Mode: Aloha Stalk Hop Friday

  4. Awww!! That was such a sweet story!!! I bet that is one of your favorite memories!

  5. I like Pistol Packin' Mama by Bing Crosby! :)

  6. I like "our love is here to stay" by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. My hubster and I had that as our song at our wedding reception. :)

  7. I guess it all depends on how you define "old". Old as in Beethoven's Pastoral or Old as in what I grew up with and is now considered "oldies" (although I beg to differ).

    Have a great day!

  8. I really love Fats Domino, James Brown and Chuck Berry!

  9. Well, there ya go Father & Son! I agree with the others you do have a wonderful memory. Glad you found the pics. My favorite old song... dang I like so many. Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, Glenn Miller band, Patti Page, of ol' blue eyes! Oh, and Nat King Cole, and Johnny Mathis. My Mom & Dad's song was Misty. Guess that's my favorite.

  10. Nope I'm not over 40 so I can't participate. I'm now following you from Stalk Hop Friday.

  11. What a great find! It's so great to have family photos! And what great memories of that special birthday with your dad!

  12. My favorite Broadway song would have to be something from Phantom . . . Maybe "Think of Me" or "All I Ask of You"
