My question is: What is your favorite old song or maybe broadway song either/or?
I'm a fan of the songs from the movie South Pacific.

My Dad |
I just got in and would you believe when I went to look for a pic of Dad I hit it on the first try. This was on My 10th birthday, I took the bus from the suburbs to downtown Buffalo to meet my Dad to go to the movies to see "The Babe Ruth Story". That was accompanied by a new Baseball bat, a glove and a ball, as well as a 2 day fishing trip. July 11 1949.

Pack Rat Mode: Aloha Stalk Hop Friday
Awww!! That was such a sweet story!!! I bet that is one of your favorite memories!
ReplyDeleteI like Pistol Packin' Mama by Bing Crosby! :)
ReplyDeleteI like "our love is here to stay" by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. My hubster and I had that as our song at our wedding reception. :)
ReplyDeleteI guess it all depends on how you define "old". Old as in Beethoven's Pastoral or Old as in what I grew up with and is now considered "oldies" (although I beg to differ).
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, Glenn Miller band, Patti Page, of ol' blue eyes! Oh, and Nat King Cole, and Johnny Mathis. My Mom & Dad's song was Misty. Guess that's my favorite.

My favorite Broadway song would have to be something from Phantom . . . Maybe "Think of Me" or "All I Ask of You"
