Thursday's Recipe Swap Meet!

Good afternoon everyone!  Today I've decided to run last week's recipe one more time just in case someone didn't get to see it.  I really think you'll enjoy it!

Come join Thursday's "RECIPE SWAP MEET" at  I'll lend you mine if you'll lend me yours.    If you take one, share one!  All you have to do is sign our linky, grab their button, and show off your Recipe!  Below you will find your Chef-Hostesses XmasDolly and Lori from
The Shewbridges of Central Florida  (Lorie says Hi!).  Hi-ya!

We all have recipes from our family archives that we've collected over the years, and maybe some we have swapped from friends, magazines, cookbooks, & neighbors!

Pumpkin Squares

Pumpkin Squares

Serves about 12

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 (16-ounce) can pumpkin
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9" x 13" baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. 2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix well and set aside.
3. In another large bowl, beat together the remaining ingredients. Gradually add the flour mixture to the pumpkin mixture; beat well then pour batter into the baking dish.
4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely then cut into squares.

*Not sure where I got this recipe, but I googled for the picture.

  1. Where's the cold milk? Got to add this one for sure. Have a great day.

  2. These sound really delicious, but unlike Dolly, I don't drink milk, so I'll have mine with a cup of coffee, please. =)
