ALOHA FRIDAY PHOTO FLASHBACK, FOLLOW STALK HOP FRIDAY

My question is:  Last week I asked what was your first job.  Now, let's elaborate a little on it.  What was it, did you like it, how long did it last & can you remember the next one?

I did deliver papers for other guys who had routes and I filled in when they went on vacation. rest of the time I was a Caddy at a very old money country club. Would you believe I used to caddy for the wife of the guy who owned the Caddie Dealership and the wife of the guy who owned the Lincoln dealership. They played together every Tuesday. I hitch hiked to the club in the morning but they bought me lunch and drove me the 18 miles back to my house.

And your point is...? I took this pic a while back not sure how long ago, but I know it's been quite a few years.  I just added the caption.

  1. My first job was working at a ranch that hosted company picnics. I worked at the mini golf course first, then kiddie rides, then concessions, then lifeguard. Everyone had to help serve lunch and clean up trash at the end of the day. After that, I did telephone sales for Olan Mills. I didn't like it, but I stuck with it for the easy money.

  2. It was a Nurse's aide from when I was 16 until I graduated college. I must have liked it because I worked in that position up until my next position, which was a GN (graduate nurse) waiting for the results of my state Nursing License.

  3. My first job was babysitting for the neighbor's 4 kids when I was 12 - I loved it, because they always paid me a lot! ;) My next job was my 'official' first job at 16 as a cashier for a store that's similar to RiteAid - I liked it well enough, but had to quit because it was interfering with me getting my homework done. ;)

  4. My first job was babysitting, which I did all through high school. I liked it because it was a fairly easy way to earn money. The one thing I did not like was one particular dad was a little creepy and used to flirt very inappropriately with me...made me extremely uncomfortable. My 2nd job was as a file clerk in a medical records office of our local hospital. I worked there while I put myself through nursing school.

  5. My first job aside from babysitting was working at my father's baseball card store. I really enjoyed it, especially meeting so many fun people. I stayed there until college when I got a job as a pharmacy technician since I was in pharmacy school at the time.

  7. My first job was a baggage handler. It lasted for the summer I beat out over 500 other kids for it. It felt miraculous!

    Happy weekend to you!

  9. I sold magazines for a first job and hated it & didn't make squat. After that I was a waitress. It was good money, but hard work. I paid my own tuition for Beauty School & when I had enough money for tuition, uniform, & books, supplies I quit. Have a good weekend.

  10. I think I worked at the high school for about 2 years and then went to work at a local department store. I didn't really like the job because I would get covered in chalk dust.
